The Filipino American Student Organization presents its third installment of RATED P, Filipino Entrepreneurs: Business in the Arts. It will be hosted on the University of Wisconsin - Madison campus from April 13-14, 2012. This annual spring festival celebrates the Filipino and Filipino American Arts movement. The Filipino American Arts Festival is an educational multidisciplinary arts festival honoring and showcasing the contributions of Filipino Americans to history, arts, activism, and music. The theme in this year’s festival is Business in the Arts: Young Filipino Entrepreneurs. Our aim is to highlight the creativity of the Filipino-American movement in the arts. At the same time, we aim to shed light in entrepreneurship including its build, structure, and the struggles that come with it. We hope to inspire those who conflict with the traditional and contemporary by exhibiting the possibilities of fusing passion and practicality. FASO will bring in powerful speakers, enthusiastic workshop facilitators, student entrepreneurs, and innovative performers to educate, provoke thought and engage in dialogue. These speakers emphasize that despite limited resources, creativity can start and cultivate a successful career and business.
